We recommend having your own racquet, but we can provide one for your first lesson if needed. We can also help you choose the right racquet.
What should I wear to a lesson?
Comfortable athletic clothing and court shoes (tennis shoes). Avoid running shoes as they don't provide the lateral support needed for tennis.

How far in advance should I schedule?
We recommend scheduling at least a few days in advance, though we do our best to accommodate last-minute requests.
Do you teach indoors in winter?
We focus on outdoor instruction during Michigan's playable season. Contact us to discuss options during colder months.
Lesson Formats
What's the difference between private and semi-private?
Private lessons are 1:1 with the coach. Semi-private lessons pair two players of similar skill level for shared instruction at a lower per-player rate.
How many people are in a group lesson?
Group lessons have 3–6 players, skill-matched for optimal learning and court time.
Can I switch between lesson formats?
Absolutely. Many players try different formats to find what works best for their goals and schedule.
How long are lessons?
Standard lessons are 60 minutes. Extended 90-minute sessions are available upon request.
Kids & Juniors
What age can kids start tennis lessons?
Children can start as young as 4 years old with age-appropriate instruction focused on coordination and fun.
Do you teach high school players?
Yes. We have a dedicated high school training program for tryout preparation and competitive season training.
Can siblings take lessons together?
Yes, if they're close in age and skill level. Semi-private lessons work well for siblings.
Will my child have fun?
Absolutely. We believe kids learn best when they're enjoying themselves. Every lesson includes games and activities alongside skill development.
