Beginner FAQ
I've never held a tennis racquet. Is that okay?
Perfectly fine. Our beginner program is designed for people with zero experience. We start from the very basics.
What equipment do I need?
Comfortable athletic clothing, court shoes and a racquet. If you don't have a racquet, we can help you choose one or provide one for your first lesson.
How does scoring work?
We'll teach you scoring basics as part of the program. Don't worry — it's simpler than it looks!
Will I be the only beginner?
Many of our players start as complete beginners. You'll be in good company.
How long until I can rally?
Most beginners can sustain a short rally by the end of their first or second lesson.
Should I take private or group lessons as a beginner?
Private lessons give you the most personalized attention. Group lessons offer a social learning environment. Both work well for beginners.
